It’s been a warm week, with temperatures resting in the 90s for the last few days, with today being no different. We hit a high today of 91 degrees, and tomorrow should be similar. Afternoon thunderstorms occurred today in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and are even more likely Saturday as well. However, there is a slight break coming up.

Low pressure moves in on Sunday, and we can expect temperatures in the South Valley to dip back down into the upper 80s, while the mountains will experience 70s all weekend long. There will be a slight spike in temperatures again Tuesday and Wednesday, but then another low pressure system moves in, and temperatures return to the mid 80s. Expect winds in the mountains and deserts to also pick up come Sunday, and extend into Monday.
