On Saturday, August 17, 2024, Ember Beach Club at One&Only Desaru Coast will host the third edition of the EMBER CURATES series, featuring a unique Michelin-starred dinner collaboration. This special event brings together Chef Mano Thevar of Thevar, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant known for its innovative South Asian cuisine, and Chef Andrew Walsh of CURE, a one-Michelin-star restaurant celebrated for its creative barbecue grill offerings.

For one night only, Ember Beach Club will present a four-hands gastronomic experience that combines the distinct South Asian flavors of Thevar with Walsh’s signature seafood and barbecue creations. The event will take place against the stunning backdrop of the South China Sea on Malaysia’s southeastern coastline, offering guests an exceptional dining experience.

The exclusive menu will highlight Chef Thevar’s expertise with South Asian spices, featuring dishes such as Hokkaido Scallop with Pearl Couscous Ponggal & Smoked Tomato Chutney, Lamb Rack & Lamb Biryani with Sorrel Chutney, Butternut Masala, and Madras Kuzhambu. Desserts include Rasmalai with Cinnamon Ice Cream, Ghee Cake, Pistachio, Cranberries, and Saffron & Cardamom Cloud topped with Gold Leaf.

The Ember Beach Club, designed by the acclaimed Kerry Hill Architects, is located within the first One&Only resort in South-East Asia, just a two-hour drive from Singapore or a 90-minute ferry ride. The EMBER CURATES series continues to showcase innovative culinary collaborations, uniting distinguished chefs from around the world.
