Malaysia Secures RM3.31 Billion Export Potential To Vietnam – BusinessToday

Malaysia has secured potential exports worth RM3.31 billion to Vietnam, following a successful roundtable meeting between Malaysian and Vietnamese businesses.

This achievement involves 14 Vietnamese importers across various sectors, including electrical and electronics (E&E), chemicals and petrochemicals, palm oil, iron and steel, food and beverages, and consumer goods.

Tengku Zafrul Aziz, Malaysia’s Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), announced the development on his social media account. He highlighted the importance of the Malaysia-Vietnam Roundtable Meeting, which has become a routine part of MITI’s international investment and trade missions.

The roundtable aimed to address industry challenges openly and reaffirm Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Vietnam, especially in trade and investment.

MITI, along with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), will leverage this opportunity to explore new avenues for enhancing business-to-business (B2B) relations between Malaysian and Vietnamese traders.

Tengku Zafrul emphasised that MITI is dedicated to following up and realizing these export potentials promptly and diligently.
