Registration is open until Dec. 18 and is open to all, regardless of YMCA member status. Leagues will begin in January.
The ages 4-5 division will be held on Thursday evenings. One-hour practices are scheduled Jan. 11 and 18. Half-hour practices and half-hour games will be held Jan. 25 through Feb. 29.
The ages 6-7 and 8-10 divisions will begin weekly practices the week of Jan. 8, and games will be Saturday mornings from Jan. 27 through March 9. There will be no games on Feb. 17.
“Our priority is to provide inclusive sports programs that encourage kids to build skills, stay active and have fun,” said Hawk Mielke, community recreation and youth sports director for the Y said.
The Y seeks volunteer coaches. Those interested are required to undergo a criminal background check prior to working with children.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses. “This financial support allows the Y to keep registration fees low to ensure financial hardship is not a barrier for any child to participate,” Amanda Schmitz from the YMCA, said.
