90 min have claimed that even though Jota is attracting interest from many clubs, the player’s preference would be to join Tottenham in January.

It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that Tottenham are keeping an eye on Jota, who has been frozen out of the first-team picture at Al-Ittihad due to the Saudi club being over the limit of foreign players allowed (TEAMtalk).

Spurs are thought to be exploring a loan move for the winger (Football Insider), with the player also alleged to be on Celtic’s radar (Glasgow World).

Jota’s preferred destination is Tottenham Hotspur

90 min have now shed more light on Tottneham’s pursuit of the attacker, explaining that while the Lilywhites would prefer to sign the former Celtic man on loan, they are open to a permanent deal as long as the price tag is not prohibitive.

The report states that signing a wide player is a priority for the North London club in January, with Jota being one of the names at the top of their wishlist.

The publication alleges that the Portuguese star has also emerged as a target for Newcastle but he would prefer to reunite with Ange Postecoglou at Spurs.

Spurs Web Opinion

Postecoglou’s presence at Spurs undoubtedly gives Tottenham an advantage over other suitors for Jota but the player might hesitate to come to N17 if his priority is to get regular starts under his belt.
