First up, Baz Ashmawy and his team of experts embark on another set of home renovation projects, beginning by making a property in Cork wheelchair-friendly for Adam Drummond (below, with Baz).

The 22-year-old former Irish International basketball player is currently adjusting to life in a wheelchair, and the team sets out to adapt his parents’ house in order to allow Adam to live in his family home once again.

Francesco’s Italy Top to Toe, 7.00pm, BBC Four

Another chance to see this super series, where author and architect Francesco da Mosto – from Venice – presents a guide to his native Italy.

He starts in the North, where he views Leonardo’s Last Supper in Milan and explores one of the world’s oldest universities.

He also visits Florence, the birthplace of Renaissance art, and Verona, the setting for Romeo and Juliet, before going underwater to see the statue of Christ off the coast of Portofino.

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is the one behind this latest adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel about an orphan pursuing his desire for a greater lot in life.

Fingers crossed it’s a better watch than his 2019 version of A Christmas Carol.

As for the story, central character Pip’s life is changed forever first by an encounter with an escaped convict, and then again when he is summoned to the household of wealthy recluse Miss Havisham (Olivia Colman), who intends him to be the companion of her adopted daughter.

Tempting Fortune, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Paddy McGuinness (below) challenges a group of 12 strangers to make a grueling trek across the South African wilderness – and resist a series of temptations along the way.

The party starts out with a prize fund of £300,000 to be shared at the end of the journey, but each time one of them cracks, the money goes down.

Loyle Carner at 6 Music Festival 2023, 10.30pm, BBC Four

In the first of three 6 Music specials, Loyle Carner (below) introduces his 6 Music Festival performance at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester, showcasing his music in a new way, and performing in collaboration with AMC Gospel Choir.

That’s followed at 11pm by Christine & the Queens at 6 Music Festival 2023. Then at 11.30pm, there’s Arlo Parks at 6 Music Festival 2023, featuring the world premiere of her new music.

Bear Grylls Meets President Zelenskyy, 8.30pm, RTÉ2

Bear Grylls ventures into Ukraine by invitation of President Zelenskyy where he meets civilians who are trying to endure and survive the war to learn what life is like for them.

On his way to meet the President in Kyiv, he visits the old front line in Irpin where he meets soldier Oleksandr who joined the army to fight the Russian invasion and journalist Alina who lost her father to the war.

Norman Jewison’s hugely successful 1971 musical, starring the recently deceased Topol, Norma Crane, Paul Michael Glaser and Leonard Frey.

A poor Jewish milkman is set on finding good husbands for his three eldest daughters while coming to terms with the pressures of village life in Ukraine under Tsarist rule.

Unfortunately, his well-meaning plan is hampered by the girls’ obstinate insistence on making their own marital choices.
