Huge boost for Irish tourists as Aer Lingus announces new bucket list route

IRISH holidaymakers are set for a major boost as Aer Lingus has announced a new bucket list destination.

Tourists will now be able to enjoy the glitz, glamour, and excitement of Las Vegas as it joins Aer Lingus’s US line up.

Launching the highly anticipated flights from Dublin, they will begin travelling there during the October midterm break.

Commencing on Friday, October 25, the Irish public will be able to fly directly to the sport and entertainment capital of the world.

You’ll be able to immerse yourself in entertainment, sports, and the natural wonders of the desert surroundings all while soaking up the sun.

Flights are set to operate three times per week from Dublin, on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Flights here will be taken on a widebody Airbus A330-300 up until April 29, 2025.

Not only is Las Vegas a place to soak up some winter sun, it’s known for so much more.

Lynne Embleton, Aer Lingus Chief Officer said: “Aer Lingus is bringing this iconic destination to Irish customers seeking an escape to the winter sun.

“In addition to the warm climate, Las Vegas is renowned for being one of the greatest entertainment capitals in the world, famous for its shows, concerts, sports events and natural wonders.

“It is a long-held ambition of ours to fly to Las Vegas. The launch of this new Aer Lingus route is a significant moment for us and our customers.”

Not only a great spot for a holiday, Las Vegas is also a hub for conferences and conventions, attracting professionals and industry leaders from around the world.

Tickets for the new Dublin to Las Vegas flights go on sale today, with flights start from €499 return.

Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority added: “On behalf of all of Las Vegas, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Aer Lingus to Las Vegas for the very first time.

“In 2023, our city welcomed more than 52,000 visitors from Ireland, and this direct, nonstop service from Dublin will undoubtedly be motivation for Irish travelers and visitors throughout Europe to discover everything Las Vegas has to offer.

“We congratulate Aer Lingus on this expansion and look forward to a very successful partnership.”

Passengers can also enjoy Aer Lingus’ newly enhanced Wi-Fi speeds while flying to the US and their newly expanded inflight entertainment.
