Texas To New York: THESE States Could See Severe Tornadoes, Storms Today, Warnings Issued

The National Weather Service (NWS) on Wednesday placed over 34 million people from Texas to New York at a Level 2 risk on the 5-point severe thunderstorm scale. The states under the watch as of now are Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kansas, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and New York.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued by NWS for parts of Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia until 8 PM EDT. Additionally, another severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee until 7 PM CDT.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Oswego, NY, Geneva, NY, and Fulton, NY, lasting until 5:00 PM EDT. Residents in these areas should be prepared for potentially hazardous weather conditions, including strong winds, heavy rain, and possible hail.

Additionally, a tornado watch has been issued for parts of Texas, in effect until 8 PM CDT. Specifically, Irion County, Sterling County, and Tom Green County are under the watch until 4:00 PM CDT, while Coleman, Bangs, and Santa Anna are included in the watch until 3:45 PM CDT. Residents in these regions should stay alert and be prepared to take immediate action if a tornado warning is issued.
