The New York Jets have 8 huge home games in 2024. Get tickets today

For once, fans were optimistic leading into the New York Jets‘ 2023 season.

GM Joe Douglas traded for star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and finally the Jets had a star quarterback to put at the center of a talented team.

Then, four snaps into their regular season home opener at MetLife Stadium, Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles.

While the team never truly tanked — they went a respectable 7-10 and notched impressive wins over the playoff-bound Texans, Bills, and Eagles — they also truly never took flight.

Heading into 2024, Jets owner Woody Johnson remains optimistic about the Jets’ chances.

“(Rodgers) is getting back to football 100 percent,” Johnson said. “(The Jets should be in for) an exciting start to the season.”

Throw in major offseason acquisitions Hasson Reddick, Tyrod Taylor, Isaiah Oliver, John Simpson and Javon Kinlaw and fans have reason to be downright excited.

Plus, we didn’t even mention the return of stars Sauce Gardner, Breece Hall, Quinnen Williams, and C.J. Mosley.

And if you want to be there to see if coach Robert Saleh’s squad redeem themselves, tickets are available for all home games at MetLife Stadium.

That includes biggies against the Patriots on Thursday, Sept. 19, Bills on Monday, Oct. 14 and Texans on Thursday, Oct. 31.
