Tiger Woods tracker: Score and updates for golf icon from Round 2 at PGA Championship

Tiger Woods made a highly anticipated return to action on Thursday for the first round of the 2024 PGA Championship. The excitement continues as woods gears up for Round 2 and a chance to turn things around after a rocky start to the year’s second major tournament.

Showing his trademark resilience, Woods arrived at the green early on Thursday, donning his iconic Sun Day Red attire and a confident smile. Despite a setback on the 11th hole and a need to chip out at the 12th, he persevered and completed all 18 holes. Woods concluded Round 1 with a 1-over 72, not the start he wanted but is determined to make the adjustments needed to make the cut.

“I think that I’ve made a few cuts in a row, what was it, 140-some odd,” Woods said to PGA after Round 1. “So you have to just grind it out. It’s a marathon. Major championships are a long grind. It’s just plotting along. It’s not a sprint. It’s just a grind.”

The second round start times have been delayed from 7:15 a.m. ET to 8:35 a.m. ET after a man was struck and killed by a shuttle bus that brings fans to the golf course.
