USDOT seeks input on effective and safe AI use in transportation | Traffic Technology Today

The USDOT’s Advanced Research Projects Agency – Infrastructure (ARPA-I) is seeking input from interested parties on the potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in transportation, as well as emerging challenges and opportunities in creating and deploying AI technologies in applications across all modes.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain input from a broad array of stakeholders on AI opportunities, challenges and related issues in transportation pursuant to Executive Order (EO) 14110 of October 30, 2023 entitled Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence.

Written comments should be submitted to Docket Number DOT– OST–2024–0049 electronically through the Federal eRulemaking Portal, using the blue comment button is on the top left of the page, and must be received by July 2, 2024.
